Company Stationery
All company stationery, letterheads, invoices, etc. must show the
name of the company in full.
It must also show the address of the registered office of the
company.
In addition, it must also state where the company is registered
and its company number. This is usually
done in the format "Registered in England, No. XXXXXXXX" (the
company number is issued by Companies House on formation and is
shown on the Certificate of Incorporation).
If the stationery shows the name of a director, then it must
list the names of all directors of the company. The company
cannot be selective about which directors' names to show - it
must show all or none.
Of course, there are also requirements under VAT legislation
covering the information to be provided on tax invoices.
CONCLUSION
It is hoped this summary will assist directors with some of the more important
requirements of company law.
