We have been using computers for years and so have our clients. Over this time we have
built up a considerable expertise in the subject. We also have a large number of clients
who themselves are in the IT and related industries.
We find that existing users call us whenever they have a problem. Perhaps, they are not
quite sure how to deal with a particular transaction, or for example they have decided to
move into e-commerce. We encourage our clients to telephone if they have a problem.
More and more businesses are computerising their accounting. This makes sense because
there is then more information available to the business owner. Clients can turn to us for
help with the choice of accounting software. The software is often less expensive than
anticipated. If a complete novice, we can even help with the hardware choice. As
members of the Sage Accountants Club we can order Sage software direct from Sage and
have access to their support lines and training.
The installation and set-up of a new accounting system needs to be carried out in a
methodical manner. You should have your accountant help you with this. He should take a
lead role in guiding you through the process.
Once you have your accounting software set-up, it is important that you or your staff know
how to use it. The type of training given can be varied ranging from informal ad-hoc advice
through to several days of more formal training courses.
Even then, we are still behind you waiting for your call for help whenever necessary.
When choosing the software you should bear in mind the opportunities for Internet Trading
and e-commerce.
